Moments,
like blossoms of lavender,
fade faster than I aspire.
I know I'm missing most of
The scent of our lives together,
Tied
up in tares of tenacious toil
Your long suffering is like ambrosia
And I consume it as air, unaware,
Of the possibility of loss
Most of the moments of most of the daze.
But I know my need like my nature
Long for the harbor of your bosom
A calm in the storm of my life.
You
are an evergreen of lavender,
Lovely always,
I
can never express the value of you,
my Love,
but I do know.
Evergreen Lavender
